The Role

Working in our in-house creative agency, Joyride, the Account Director’s role is primarily to oversee the timely and effective delivery of branded content projects and account work assigned to them. Initially the work will comprise short-midterm business which has a level of integration into LADbible’s family of popular, fast-growing editorial channels.

Ideally, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with experience of how to handle media agency and brand direct clients, the position demands excellent analytical, organisation, communication, collaboration, coordination and leadership skills. With an ability to extract the best contributions from other people, particularly the various specialists internally from within the Agency and the broader team at LADbible (e.g. Sales, Creative, Production, Design, Editorial Activation, and so on).

The Account Director must expertly handle client expectations and be proactive with communications which concern campaign deliverables. They must project a positive, proactive image to the client to support the Sales team in relationship-building and project maintenance.

The Account Director must be passionate about youth culture and savvy about the advertising and media industry. They must be a problem-solver who may also need to contribute to the development of original branded content ideas, working closely with the Agency specialist colleagues. At times, the role may also demand for the Account Director to be present and assist with productions.

The Account Director has a vital function in being guardian and promoter; both of LADbible and the clients’ brand. They must willingly seek information and insight about all brands involved – their business model, products, market positioning, audience and competitors – to be as adept and trusted as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop a strong and constructive relationship with the client based on honesty and trust
  •       Be able to manage the clients expectations regarding deliverable; pre-empt and resolve issues early. 
  •        Always demonstrate a clear understanding of the client’s business
  •        Timely delivery of reports and campaign analysis. 
  • Be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to brief
  •  Always demonstrate a clear understanding of the clients business
  •  Produce client development plans to evolve and enhance our key accounts
  •  Timely delivery of reports and campaign analysis
  • A keen eye for data; ability to optimise and improve for benefit of optimum campaign performance
  •  Ability to take a brief from client and draft creative brief for internal discussions
  •  Ability to manage a team
  •  Ability to provide clear project management in terms of workflow, timings and objectives
