Joyride is the award-winning branded content agency of the LADbible Group. We find creative ways to get brands into the newsfeeds of millions of young people; and for us, it has to be entertaining or informative, authentic, snappy and relatable. Being part of a huge social-publishing community means we have a unique vantage point on how a generation thinks, feels and consumes content. We get our kicks when a campaign tops the social power rankings, it's true, but at the same time we recognise our power to positively influence society - so we're equally proud of our work with charities like RNLI, or cause-based initiatives in partnership with the Home Office.

The Role:


We are looking for a Social Creative to be our Sport specialist. Working in our newly formed in-house branded content agency, Joyride, you will help shape the creative of all sports related briefs and campaigns, from start to finish.


Sport is a major interest point of the LADbible audience. Add to that our dedicated SPORTbible and ODDSbible channels, and we have one of the world’s largest and most passionate communities at our fingertips in this space.


You will:


  • Conceptualise, pitch and create socially led branded content campaigns that feel native to the host channel
  • Combine your cultural awareness and commercial knowledge with a strong understanding of how to make engaging content for social media
  • Bring ideas to life in written and visual form; being responsible for clearly communicating and upholding the integrity of your creative, presenting to colleagues and clients
  • Use insight and data to inform creative approaches and make proposals more compelling
  • Have experience in creating content formats that resonate most with a sports and youth audience: including short and long-form social video, video series, written articles, still and animated image, and occasionally events / experiential
  • Demonstrate creative ideas that benefit the brand, the audience and the business; creating impact with consumers first and foremost
  • Create presentation materials - including pitch decks, storyboards and mood boards - using Keynote
  • Consistently deliver quality ideas in a fast-paced, often high pressure environment, ensuring deadlines are adhered to
  • Adapt and respond to the flexibility and demands of the working environment and new and existing trends
  • Demonstrate how your ideas fit into the broader brand and communication strategies of the client, and can meet their specific objectives
  • Work closely with all other departments in the company (particularly sales, marketing, production, and tech)


The Person


We’re looking for candidates who can show their pedigree and make a difference at a fast-growing youth media brand. As a pioneering member of our new agency offering, we need someone with an abundance of sporting wisdom, creative talent, passion and energy.


The right person will have the following:


  • Experience within a similar role at a publisher or creative agency
  • A passion for sport and youth culture and a broad understanding of social media and the advertising industries
  • Understanding of current trends and what makes engaging content
  • Knowledge of the company's market position, brand and overall style
  • Active social media user with experience of various social channels
  • Good contacts in the world of sports
  • Knowledge of emerging and established talent
  • Ability to research a subject / topic and present findings in a constructive manor
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Strong aesthetic appreciation and the ability to articulate ideas powerfully in written and visual form
  • Ability to naturally build a positive, strong rapport with the wider teams and a love for working collaboratively
  • A keen sense of humour
  • Genuine passion about the LADbible, SPORTbible and ODDSbible brands in particular
  • Ambition to really add value to the company
