Senior Social Editor - Instagram & Snapchat

The Role

We are looking for a social genius to work across Instagram and our brand spanking new Snapchat Discover edition. As a Senior Social Editor, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a truly unique editorial strategy, briefing designers to create signature LAD content on the platforms and spreading the love worldwide. 

Working within a small team, you’ll spend your days spotting viral trends, creating original features and delivering our daily Stories to a global audience. Come prepared with regular feature ideas, an insatiable appetite for social storytelling and a seriously pro-active work ethic.   


  • Working with fellow Senior Social Editors to run LAD’s Snapchat Discover daily edition, including sourcing relevant stories, headline writing, briefing designers, building and scheduling editions 
  • Working with fellow Senior Social Editors to create and curate content for both the Instagram feed and Instagram Stories
  • Developing LAD’s tone and position within the new Snap platform, coming up with and executing original content ideas  
  • Using analytics not just for reporting but also to inform content choices and formats
  • Working with our in-house branded content agency to assist with bespoke campaigns

The Person

  • Digital journalist who can think visually, with a background in news and viral features 
  • Experience working on Snapchat Discover and/or Instagram, creating content for young and engaged readers
  • Team player essential, small team management preferable 
  • Impeccable communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects) knowledge and video editing experience not essential but a bonus 
  • 3+ years experience within publishing and/or branded content
