Senior IT Support Analyst

We are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable Senior IT Support Analyst that has extensive experience supporting Post Production teams and video editors. This is a new and exciting role (which is based in our London office) working within the IT Operation team. The role will be varied and will have 3 key functions:

IT BAU Support,- Working with the IT Operations team both in Manchester and London, you will be supporting 1st line through to 3rd line issues, providing customer service-oriented support both remotely and face-to-face. Post-Production Support - Supporting the needs and requirements of the Video editing teams in London and Manchester, you will be focused on ensuring the video editing team have a high level of support, providing technical and infrastructure requirements specially for their needs from an IT operational perspective. Working closely with the creative teams, you will support and help with the production workflow (an understanding of this is essential), bridging the technical understanding and relationship between the creative teams and operational support. The role will ensure that the systems and software used are proactivity supported and that all data is protected during its lifecycle. You will be looking after video production support issues ranging from software (adobe premiere, OSX) to storage (on-premise storage and backup of the video data).

Proactive Support & Project Work – The IT Ops team have a number of projects on the go at anyone time, we are passionate about proactive support, and we continually look to bring in new products and tools to the business to help improve our service.  You will be assisting and working on projects with all of the IT Ops team through its lifecycle. For post-production and video editing projects you will have key involvement with these and will also be working closely with the post-production teams ensuring we meet their needs.

Video is a huge part of the future of our business; we are heavily investing in the infrastructure to support 4k and beyond, this role will play a key part in this when it comes to software, infrastructure, and applications.

The Person

  • Experience supporting Post-Production teams looking after storage and backup solutions, as well as understand and working closely with the production workflow.  Ideally experience working in  a Post-Production house. 
  • Adobe Premier Experience and OSX support (essentials).
  • Experience supporting Post-Production Edit suites, desirable.
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a similar industry with around 200-300 users.
  • Experience supporting users face to face and remotely.
  • Experience supporting AV Equipment and Meeting rooms.
  • Experience using a ticketing system and asset management system.
  • Experience supporting both OSX and Windows 10.
  • Experience in support hardware, laptops, printers, iPhone, TV’s and AV equipment. 

Responsibilities

  • Work on BAU Support tickets for London and Manchester, from 1st line through to 3rd line. Providing remote and face-to-face support, resolving or escalating in a timely manner
  • Proactively support the video editing teams, ensuring they have the correct equipment and software to carryout their work as necessary.  Working closely with production team members to understand their needs, as a whole and individually, advising where necessary.
  • Protect and maintain Post-production video data, from shoot through to archiving, ensuring its adequality protected through its lifecycle within the business.
  • Work closely with the video teams in London and Manchester, ensuring they are working as efficiently as possible in their workflow, making recommendations and suggestions to the teams and business. 
  • Support and Assist on a range of IT Projects, taking the lead where required and represent the needs of the Video production teams across the business. 
  • Keep up-to-date in the latest technologies, specially around the IT infrastructure and post-production arena, ensuring the business is future proofing its environment for the teams.
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees, from ordering and configuring equipment as well setting up and administering users accounts details across the business.
  • Keep EZ asset management system up-to-date, asset new equipment as well as carrying out periodic stocktake of equipment onsite.
  • Support on-site AV equipment throughout the office and in meeting rooms, ensuring the equipment is always functional and ready to use, resolve any issues as required.
  • Ensure devices are up-to-date - software, Antivirus, OS patches/releases (and encryption).
