Senior Insights Strategist

The Role: 

Working in our in-house creative agency, Joyride, the Senior Insights Strategist role is to spearhead the insights and data analysis contribution of the agency. Transforming audience and market data into clear applicable insights, and crafting compelling narratives, that can be utilised in a commercial, creative and marketing environment.

Bringing the vision of insights to life, making other team members more excited and knowledgeable about its value and how to use insight information in smart ways.

Ideally, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar agency or brand-direct role. Essential to the role is understanding of statistics and data interpretation. For this role, coding is not required, whereas it is necessary to have a deeper knowledge of consumer behaviours and strategy making.

The Insights Strategist must have credible relevant experience delivering information to a different array of team members, with different objectives, using tools and data sources flexibly, depending on the situation. And in time grow and manage a team of strategists / analysts at a junior level.

As we are a social first company, the candidate must have very advanced knowledge of all social platforms, their insights, new features and what it means both for the company and for the audience. The candidate must have an ability to adapt and an appetite to learn in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must have the ability to advise, plan and help develop new insights products, and support our commercial team in rolling them out to market.



Audience insights:

  •      Setting best practice on different data sources to inform commercial pitches, creative strategy and marketing presentations
  •     Overseeing and doing insights research, transforming audience interactions into inspiration points for the creative teams to consider in future activations
  •      Monitoring social platform tools such as Facebook Audience Insights to understand shifting audience behaviour and interests
Research capabilities:
  •       Understanding of statistics, polling methods and survey analysis
  •       Creation of audience surveys and overseeing distribution process
  •      Liaising with third party providers on how to support branded campaigns with the correct research framework around commercial KPIs
Reporting and benchmarking:
  •       Maintaining branded content campaign benchmark tracking documents using data from social platforms
  •      Understand and explain social metrics, giving clear directions on how to improve performance
  •      Working with the Data Science team on bespoke comment analyses, creating presentations with findings
  •    Advising our Activation specialists on distribution strategy and working in collaboration with our Paid Social specialists to understand optimum publishing strategies
  •      Informing platform and content strategies for branded content campaigns
  •     Competitor and industry research on social content
    Using tools such as GWI, ComScore, QuantCast and TGI to understand audience insights
    Thorough knowledge of Facebook insights, Twitter analytics and Instagram insights
    Understanding of Google Analytics data, especially in market segmentation
    Advanced Excel, Keynote and Google Forms skills.
    Coordination and keeping up with tight deadlines, while working through a flexible workload
